Dromm Attends Lunar New Year Celebrations

Dromm says the Pledge of Allegiance at the Korean American Association of Queens' festival after the Lunar New Year Parade.

The Year of the Ox - District Leader Daniel Dromm was proud and fortunate enough to march in Flushing's Lunar New Year Parade which was held on Saturday, January 31, 2009. Dromm recognizes the important cultural contribution this parade makes to Queens' unique diversity.

Dromm marched at the invitation of Sean Shin, immediate past president of the Korean American Association of Queens (KAAQ). Shin and Dromm have been long time friends. Shin is one of the organizers of the parade.

After the parade, Dromm joined the KAAQ at a festival to continue the celebration. At the event, Dromm spoke of the significance of this being the Year of the Ox - a symbol of strength in these trying times. Dromm spoke optimistically of the future and thanked the organization for including him in all their activities.
